Two new Lorikeets arrived today, a bonded pair of Edwards Lorikeets aged about 9 to 12 months. Very timid and nervous they appear to be highly strung and easily panicked. They were quickly moved from a rather small delivery cage into a quiet aviary.

New images nearly 18 months after buying the Edwards lorikeets. They now look quite different and have grown physically bigger, have red beaks and coloured eyes. What we thought were 9 month old birds when we purchased them now appear to have been 3 to 5 months old as the now appear to be coming up to two years of age.
These birds are now extremely human friendly and just love attention. They have a very distictive shrill sound and accompany this with wing whirring when they get excited - which is anytine a human comes near.
They are now sharing a quite large 6metre long aviary with an olive rainbow and its mate a quite feather plucked green scaley.
