Another image of the 4 week old Rainbow Lorikeet baby.
The newly developing green feathers on the wings are evident as is the start of the tail feathers.
He still has an overall scrawny appearance with a rather naked neck that looks odd considering the almost perfectly developed blue feathers on the head and upper neck.
He is a bit wobbly on his feet but makes the effort to stand up, although he cannot yet grip a branch and stay upright.
These adventures out of the nest box are a real pleasure for him, he wants to investigate everything and really squawks his displeasure at being put back in the nestbox
